Neiman Marcus: Fur Is Cruel and Unnecessary

TAKE ACTION FOR ANIMALS!
NOVEMBER 24, 2006 IS FUR FREE FRIDAY

The start of the holiday shopping season is also the start of the fur-free season. Animal advocates across the country will spread the word about the animal suffering behind fur and fur trim, and encourage shoppers to make humane choices. To find a Fur-Free Friday event in your area, please visit www.furkills.org. If you don't have an event in your area, consider handing out leaflets in busy shopping areas for an hour or two. Your reminder to consumers that animals need their fur more than we do will help reduce the numbers of animals suffering and dying for fur.

Although parody and satire are protected forms of speech, Neiman Marcus had argued in its complaint that the “Neiman Carcass” site is “confusingly similar” to its name and business.
